Equip2_2014

My current mobile setup for astro photography. Thanks to the 10 Micron GM1000 HPS mount, I do all my imaging unguided nowadays.

The setup is powered and computer controlled via the battery box. In case of any computer/software hassle. With this setup, I can switch to full "manual mode" any time and without any computer still be able to do both pointing/tracking model building and image acquisition..>

Battery box which I use to mainly power my mobile astro photo setup. Currently it contains a 80Ah leasure battery which is used as the main power source. I have also built in a small NUC / mini computer that is running Windows7. I connect to this NUC remotely via Wi-Fi.

Built in NUC visible. It runs all image acquisition, camera and mount controll applications. Besides the power conectors, the battery box has USB and wired Ethernet connection to the telescope mount and camera. Click here to see the electrical drawing of the box.

Macro photography studio setup. For hand held macro work in the field I mainly use the Sigma APO Macro 180mm. However occasionally I take the MP-E 65 lens with me out in the field. .>
